Neurological examination

Our neurologists have a comprehensive approach to diagnosis, thoroughly evaluating each patient to reach the root cause of his neurological problem. This includes conducting several painless tests to assess nerve function in the head and body, including vision, strength and muscle tone, reflexes, balance and coordination, feeling, speech and cognitive abilities such as memory, reasoning and orientation. With an accurate diagnosis, our team is able to provide an effective and personalized treatment.

With the results of the initial examination available, our team of neurologists can further investigate a number of complementary tests, such as laboratory analyzes, ultrasound examinations of the blood vessels of the neck, EEG, EMNG and imaging procedures such as CT and MRI. By collecting these additional data, our neurologists are able to make an accurate diagnosis and provide patients with the best possible treatment plan.

In the Polyclinic Standard diagnostic methods used to determine neurological diseases are:

  • EMNG or electromyonneurography
  • EEG or Electroencephalography
